  1. Tricks? Man, black people call them books!

  2. All you people talking about prisons and jails… NEWSFLASH: You’ve PUT YOURSELF ON HOME CONFINEMENT WITH THE FAKE COVID. It’s being used to incarcerate you dumbasses and steal your rights and crash the middle class. WAKE UP!

  3. Soon as he led with the 3 of spades I knew this was not the one. Never have him as my partner.

  4. In Hawaii we have a altered version of this which is waay more fun! At least I think it’s only hawaii cause I’ve tried looking it up and have never found it. Anyways! It’s called trumps! Instead of only spades being the best suit (trump suit) any of the 4 suits can be a trump. The first person to bid can bid 7 at the highest. So if I bid 7, the opposing team would only have to win 1 trick. If I bid 6 that would be two tricks for the other team. I bid 5 they make 3 and you guys get the point. Lowest a bid can go is 3. So if I bid 3 then the other team has to make 5 tricks. The bid goes around the table and to beat another persons bid you just go higher than them because the higher bid you go, the less packs or tricks they have to make. So the riskier it is for you. But if you win the bid at the end you’re able to collect the kitty in the middle. A kitty is an additional 4 cards in the middle that may or may not help you with your given hand. You can then call your own trump (spades) suit (which everyone is obliged to follow because you won the bid) and switch out whatever cards will help you to best prevent the other time from making said amount of packs or tricks. (So yes that means everyone only has 12 cards instead of 13). So the team that calls the bid gets to call the trump suit and has to prevent the other team from making said amount of packs. Say for example I bid 4 on diamonds. That means we have to prevent the other team from winning 4 tricks or packs and diamonds is the trump suit. If you accomplish that before you all run out of your 12 cards, you win the game. If the opposing team does make the 4 packs, you lose the game. Kinda long explanation but soo fun!

  5. Many people complicate things with special bids, but these are nice, simple rules.

  6. tall us what happing if all players play for example king spades king heart king Clover
? in this case what will happen

  7. I feel like your math was wrong in the how to keep score part. That or it still makes no sense to me.

  8. 5:32 that is incorrect. Any tricks that are won in a nil bid do not count towards the total score, it only adds to the bags. In this example, team 1 bids nil and bids 5. If it’s the first hand and player A takes a trick on a nil bid then that is -100 points. If player C the partner makes his bid of 5 then the count now becomes -50 total for the team. The addition of a trick taken to equal one point extra does not count on a nil bid or blind nil bid, therefore -49 is wrong.

  9. I just learned this weekend and won't stop until I master it. It was quite fun

  10. Nice video I have a spades video on my channel you should check it out 🌎

  11. 😲 The word is RENeGE. Re Neh G, nE not nI… FFR

  12. Seriously. Worst spades player in the history of the world. Horrible bidder. Horrible job at playing low suited and low trumps. Just awful.

  13. Fuck spades, ima keep shootin dice

  14. Q’s aren’t counted? He didn’t always count Qs

  15. How do you know what bid to make and how do you read your team mate’s mind about how high of a bid to make?

  16. My uncle's love playing spades….but damn it's confusing as Hell. Lol

  17. Spades, dominoes, sweet potato pie, and banana pudding. Some of the best memories from my child hood!

  18. Make it simple – Don't do overs – And better yet no bidding at all – Just play your hand ♠️

  19. What if both teams get 513 in same round?

  20. can anyone tell me Every card name i am on a school project i did not find on google

  21. This tutorial was amazing. Thank you

  22. GatherTogetherGames, I have some questions to ask you about your music:

    1. How do I get the music?
    2. Do you own the music?
    3. What’s the tempo of this song?

  23. Finally a tutorial that wasn't lots of cuts of other video and dumb animations. Just clear and concise instructions in a way that makes sense. Nicely done sir, thank you.

  24. What version am I playing that doesn't have teams, spades don't trump, hearts give you points, the queen of spades is 13 points, you don't want points unless you're "shooting the moon"? I cannot find this version I learned anywhere.

  25. Ace side sucks real niggas know deuce side the best way to play

  26. Bro no one would toss a king on a suit they don’t have they cut with a spade to take the truck ur a joke and shouldn’t be teaching spades

  27. Who Else Came To Learn How To Pay After Seeing That Heated Tik Tok Video 😅

  28. Thanks for making this easier to get into. New sub.

  29. Overall, this is a great tutorial, and I appreciate it. The one negative would be that (TYPICALLY), you want to throw the smallest card needed to win a trick and throw the smallest card possible when none of your cards can win, anyway. So, since the tutorial wasn't getting into deeper strategy, it was pointless not to model this.

  30. The tutorial starts off using undefined terminology, such as "trick". Not suitable for a total beginner.

  31. Best Spades Tutorial Ive come across thus far. 👍🏼

  32. Great video. One other thing that would have helped me would have been to explain how you came up with your bids, because it’s not just counting the spades in your hand or doesn’t seem like that. That would have connected some dots for me. But I thank you for all the clear explanations.

  33. It's the nil option and bags accumulation that make this game extra interesting.

  34. Why would you play the highest card in a suit that’s not the lead suit unless you’re the lead player? I’m confused by this example.
