Japan has not only revealed plans to make flying cars a reality recently, but also your oldest childhood dreams of dueling Yugioh cards in real life as close to the anime as possible. They revealed some advanced image recognition technology that enables them to easily scan current circulating Yugioh cards meaning all the cards that you’ve collected up til now from the beginning of time, will be usable in future games they make with this new tech. If all goes well, trading card games may just make its biggest comeback yet.

What i think komani should do is make a play mat that can make holographic forms of your cards which i think is way better than having a vr headset on or holding your smart phone !

Wait so pro duelist could be a thing? Awesome I can’t wait to go to duel academy and do things like fight an evil light worshipping cult, stop an old man from trying to use 3 cards to become immortal, and most importantly beat up a teacher.
Not everyone has a Smartphone, but more importantly: Not everyone would want this kind of Virtual Reality, because it's just too dull. Seeing it though your phone? That's boring.

I challenge you to a children's card game
Amateur programmers have been working on this for YEARS with promising results using AR. It's about freaking time Konami got in on it. In the next 10 years we'll see duels similar to Zexal being common.
On top of that, imagine playing Magic in AR and when you play a land it warps the ground around you. Like you play a mountain and the ground raises a little into like a small hill. The more lands you play, the more dramatic the change in terrain. By the time you have 3 or 4 mountains your hills have turned into full blown mountains. Then play an island, some water appears and a small island pops up out of the water. They could have a lot of fun with just lands alone.

If l wanna see monsters alive while dueling outside the backyard. I'll recommend VR Technology can help. Monsters can be seen through VR Glassess while playin using Advance Dueling Table. Then this table can only scan the CARD CODE to the leftside of the card and distinguish what kind of card is it. Then The Advance Dueling Table can project the cards monster 3D images and animated when Attacking Defencing or being Negated.
